Overview

This program helps Japanese and non-Japanese employees communicate and collaborate more effectively within their global teams. Using the 3R approach, participants will learn to Recognize, Respect, and Reconcile cultural differences, adapting and creating more efficient ways of working together. The content and format will be customized to suit your company’s needs.

As part of JCO’s Efficiency Booster Training, this program is aimed at improving productivity in local teams,
global projects, and post-M&A.

Who Is it For

  • This program is for Japanese and non-Japanese working together, regardless of the frequency, intensity, or form of their interactions.
  • No prerequisites are required, but 3 to 6 months of joint work experience is recommended.
  • A balanced mix of Japanese and non-Japanese participants is recommended to allow the exchange of perspectives and promote shared responsibility.

What Will Participants Learn

During this highly interactive session, Japanese and non-Japanese employees will share their respective challenges and collaboratively develop action plans.

  • Increase awareness of one’s own and each others’ cultural preferences
  • Understand how cultural differences impact business areas such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Discuss how to align “waterfall” and “agile” work and planning styles
  • Co-create mutually acceptable strategies for improved collaboration and increased productivity
  • Develop concrete action plans to support global integration both within the team and the larger organization
  • Reinforce team spirit by deepening mutual understanding and trust

Session format

This workshop is available as In-House Training, both on-site or as online, and can be customized to your needs. (E.g. different group sizes, blended learning that includes E-learning etc.)
