Words from the founder
I have personally experienced the frustrations and the energy wasted in misunderstandings when working with Japanese.
I have lived and worked in Japan for more than 6 years. When I decided to return to Europe, and started working for a Japanese company, I often found myself explaining to local staff about why their Japanese colleagues did certain things, and similarly to Japanese colleagues about local staff. Much of the frustrations stemmed from a lack of understanding of each other. When I started specializing in cross-cultural communication, I learned many things that I wish I had known before – things that would have helped me on many occasions when I was working with my Japanese colleagues in Japan or in Europe.
Based on my personal experience, and enhanced by JCO’s partner Bill Reed, who has been working for more than 30 years in cross-cultural communication, JCO has developed a set of unique, practical trainings. We provide tools that work, which you can use right away, every day. I am convinced that they will also help you.
